My absolute favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy VI. Not only do I feel that this is the best Final Fantasy game, I believe it has the best written story, soundtrack and character design.

Personally, I'd have to go with Persona 4 Golden as my favorite RPG, Tetris for puzzle games, and Fire Emblem Awakening as tactical RPG.
There are a ton of genres and I often find myself torn as to which genres and games I like the most. Still, those are all quality games.

MGS3: Snake Eater. Everything about this game was my favorite. I have put innumerable hours into it and finished it around 80 times now. Despite putting so much time into it, it's still a game I can get lost in super easily today. I just love everything about it.
